  • The launch of Dacia Logan Break took place in Paris

The much?awaited official world debut of Dacia Logan Break took place today, in the first press day at the auto show in Paris. Two years after the launch of Dacia Logan, the break version of the model is launched. Renault named MCV (Multi Convival Vehicle), thus trying to justify its somewhat extremely large dimensions, uncommon for the compact segment, but also to underline the multifunctional aspect of the car. Dacia Logan Break will be on sale in Romania starting this October and on the European markets by 2007.
Dacia Logan Break will have, as expected, three gasoline engines MPI (1,3 liter, 75 HP, 1,5 liter, 90 HP or 105 CP) and one diesel engine dCi (1,5 liter, 70 HP), all made by Renault. Remarkably, Logan Break also known as MCV can have up to seven passengers and has a luggage volume that can go up to 2.350 liters. Logan Break will definitely strengthen Renault position on the emerging markets where options such as versatility, space and a reasonable price are the best selling reasons.
The price will be between 8.200 and 11.600 euro, all taxes included. After the sedan, MCV is the second model on Logan schedule, which includes six versions until 2009, the next version being the pick-up. On the external markets, Logan is sold under Dacia brand, except for Rusia, Columbia, Venezuela and Ecuador, where it is sold under Renault brand. The unexpected success of the model will increase the production capacity of Logan, in Romania at Mioveni up to 350 000 units annually until 2008, and to 80.000 units annually until 2007, at Moscow, Russia. Logan is also manufactured in Marocco and Columbia, and also soon in Iran, India and Brazil.
